Is the Economy Making Your Boss Mean(er)?
Feeling stressed at work? Think the boss is out to get you? You’re not alone:
According to a recent survey, more than one third of American workers feel they have to keep working for a bad boss because of the economy.
The article points out that many workers simply feel their boss is bad due to workplace pressures. Also, some bosses may believe that since their employees are stuck that they have a license to abuse.
The truth probably is somewhere in between. Everyone is feeling the economic pinch right now, and there’s no doubting that stress isn’t a good thing. Businesses aren’t hiring as many people, and workers feel the pinch to get more done in the same amount of time.
I happen to like my boss.
