This is from the May, 1927 issue of Radio News. This guy had a phonograph, a radio, a small movie projector, and a speaker, which he could move behind the movie screen. Apparently he could also operate the lights and curtains by remote control.

Check out this quote:

It may be feasible in the future to transmit entertainment and instructional programs by line-wire carrier-current telephony from one national studio to your home. A number of different programs may be sent on the same wires conveying the usual telephone conversations.

And still nothing to watch.
